And so starts a new chapter in my life

April 21, 2008:
I've you've read my blog, you already knew that I applied to law school for this upcoming year. Well, as my friends and family already know, I finally got accepted!
After getting a discouraging "wait-list" letter from South Texas College of Law, I got an astounding "after careful consideration of your application, we've determined that your background and experience make you an excellent candidate for law school" from University of Houston! I know it's probably a stock letter, but it's still uplifting! I got the email last week and the "official" letter in the mail on Saturday. Now I just need to send in my non-refundable $200 admissions fee to hold my spot (made out to "Cash" for some reason... just kidding!).
I start on June 2 (evenings), taking Procedure I and Legal Research & Writing, which should both be comparatively easy for me, since I've been immersed in those subjects for nearly 3 years. I'm very excited and can hardly wait to start!
But that being said, this is a major lifestyle change. I've already complained about not having time to stay organized. When I start part-time law school while working full time, am I going to buckle down and cut extraneous activities out of my life? Or will I just do what I always do and engage in those extraneous activities as a stress release, thus getting nothing important done, thus causing more stress. At least I have an understanding wife who has already hinted that since I'm making a sacrifice by going to law school, she would make a sacrifice by doing a larger share of the household chores. I guess I'll just have to play it by ear.
