Looks like I'll be running my first competition.  This is quite scary for me since I'm pretty much a couch potato.  I've got 4 weeks to train, and I'm planning on jogging at least three days a week.  I don't think I'll get to 8k, but I'm hoping to at least be able to train to finish 3 miles (5k) jogging and then walk the rest.  I'm hoping I'll finish the 5 miles in under 70 minutes.
