New Years Eve

Our New Years bash in Austin was taken with a grain of salt. The staff had a cancellation for our Captial City Players Comedy Mystery Dinner, so they let someone from the restaurant join in. Unfortunately, they let the loudest, most obnoxious drunk party in. It made the entire first hour miserable. Everyone in the room kept politely doing half-turns to look back at them, but they were oblivious. I finally complained to the manager and he told them if they didn't quiet down, they would have to leave. A few minutes later, they all started complaining about the food and the service and how boring the show was (quite vocally) and finally left after making a grand exit, complete with new years noisemakers. I mentioned to my wife, "no wonder they were bored, they weren't paying attention!"
The rest of the evening was enjoyable. I guessed half correctly on the method of murder, but not on the reason for the murder. When we got home, I pestered my brother for a bit before I went to bed. The rest of the weekend was filled with shopping, eating and just plain relaxing around my parent's house. I got a new lens set with my trade-in items that the Yenetchis had already gotten me, but I think I may return it because it's not as compatible with my camera as I had hoped.
