It's OwlCon time again!

It's almost February!  The time of year I look forward to the most, OwlCon!  You can read about my last year's event starting with this blog entry last year.  Note there are three entries following that one.  Last year, I did not run a game, but this year I'm going to.  I can never bring myself to buy a T-shirt, even when I can afford it, so this year I'm just going to run a game and not have to worry about it.

The game slot I'm running is Fast, Fun, Friendly and Family Games.  The description reads:

The biggest problem I've run into as a gamer is trying to find games that I can play with non-gamers, a.k.a. my family! Non-gamers don’t want to have to spend 30 minutes learning rules so they can play a 2 hour game! Come join me as I share my findings, as we will play games that take 5-10 minutes to learn front to back and are finished in 30 minutes or less. Among the games to choose from are Apples to Apples, Fluxx, Snorta, Cloud Nine, Squint, Wheedle, 10 Days in the USA, and more!

I've also pre-registered for Order of the Stick Adventure Game (light-hearted adventure game), GURPS 4th Edition Fantasy (fantasy role-playing game), and Advanced Civilization - The Expansion Project (super long, super complicated board game).  I'm also considering doing Ironman AD&D 2nd ed., which is an all-night last person standing brawl.  Only the people that survive the first night can join in the second night!  We'll see how tired I feel at the time.
