I plan on making a map journal of my trip, but I'm so busy it won't be for a bit. I know some of you have been waiting to hear about my trip, so here's the paraphrased version.

Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge
New birds: Blue-winged Teal, American Kestrel, Savannah Sparrow, Harris Hawk*, Crested Caracara*, and Northern Harrier
Quintana Neotropical Shorebird Sanctuary
New Birds: Brown-headed Cowbird
Goose Island State Park
New Birds: American White Pelican

South Padre Island
New Birds: Redhead, Pied-billed Grebe, and Yellow-throated Warbler
Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Reserve
New Birds: White-tipped Dove*, Green Jay*, Long-billed Thrasher*, and Hooded Warbler
Harlingen Area
New Birds: Green Parakeet*, Lesser Nighthawk*, Red-crowned Parrot*, Vermillion Flycatcher, Great Kiskadee*, and Tropical Kingbird*

Estero Llano Grande State Park
New Birds: Sharp-shinned Hawk, Buff-bellied Hummingbird*, Ringed Kingfisher*, Eastern Phoebe, Green Kingfisher*, Common Ground-Dove, and Northern Jacana*
Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park
New Birds: House Wren and Plain Chachalaca*
Falfurrias Rest Area

Overall, we drove about 1000 miles and saw about 90 different species of birds (32 of them were new to me). More to come in the map journal, hopefully before thanksgiving
