Texas Renaissance Festival 2006

This last Sunday we used our free tickets and went to the Texas Rennaisance Festival with Conan and Jennifer. You can see photos in the Gallery. We first went to see a scottish music group called Tartanic that Pam watched last year and loved. We were a little late, but we got to catch most of the show.
It was early, but I wanted a drink. I got a yard-long Margarita and went to town. After that we went to one of our favorites, The Other Brothers (formerly "Throw Up", who was formerly something else). They're a comedy juggling duo, one from Texas, one from New Jersey. As usual, they were quite funny and entertaining.
While waiting for the next show, I played a "pelt SpongeBob" carnival game and won a couple of beads for Pam and I. We also got to ride the giant swing (something Pam had always wanted to do).
The next show was the Washing Well Wenches. It was our first time seeing them and it was very funny. Since it was our first time seeing them, we didn't realize we didn't want to sit in the front or else we might get wet! The show was basically two women who acted like horny, nerdy wenches.
After the wenches we did quite a bit of walking and shopping and ended up at the Falconer's stage, also a first. It was your run of the mill live bird show, but it was still very cool. I tried to get a picture of every bird. You can see them in the Gallery.
After the Falconer's show, we went to a new attraction: Shakespeare. It was supposed to be a comedy show but it wasn't very funny. I felt sorry for the old guy, he really seemed to be struggling to get laughs. But, no use suffering when we don't have to, we left before the show ended.
After a little more shopping and spotting a downy woodpecker, we drove home.
