Privet Cleanup on High Island

<<< Texas Renaissance Festival 2006 Feelin' Sore >>>

November 1, 2006:

This last Saturday morning I went to High Island, TX as a volunteer for the Houston Audubon Society. We were cleaning up a non-native invasive plant called Chinese Privet.

It was everywhere. You can check the Photo Gallery on my website to see before and after pictures.

It was a lot of hard work, but I did manage to see three new life birds: a Golden-crowned Kinglet, a Hermit Thrush, and a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.
