Feelin' Sore

<<< Privet Cleanup on High Island New Addition to Website: Joe's Goals >>>

October 26, 2006:

Monday night Pam and I were looking at the exercise class schedule for the YMCA. We had both pretty much just been using it for their treadmills and we wanted to feel like we were getting our money's worth. Pam was looking at Pilates, and I was looking at step classes and a thing called BODYPUMP.

Tuesday morning I went for step class and it was cancelled, so I ended up on the treadmill anyway. Wednesday I showed up for BODYPUMP and got into it. It was an aerobics class with weights. Over the course of the hour-long class, you spend 5-7 minutes working each of your muscle groups. I think our instructor had a special affinity for squats, because those are the muscles that seem to hurt the most today!

Even with all the pain, I was able to get on the treadmill this morning. I don't think I'll be able to do another BODYPUMP class tomorrow, but I'm going to try to make the one on Monday. It should get easier the longer I try it. If I can at least do the treadmill tomorrow, it will be the first time in my life I will have successfully exercised every weekday!
